Let's be adventurous!

Growing up as a kid I spent many winter holidays getting use to the 20+ hour plane rides from Texas to Hong Kong, while the summers were spent cruising along the East and West Coast of the US and Canada in a maroon 1990 Plymouth Voyager with the middle row converted into a sleeping area for "more fun" as my parents had explained.

Fast forward to Fall 2003, when University tuition and student related expenses had long murdered family trips, I was taking an Architecture and Society class to fulfill a requirement in my Business degree where the professor would go on and on about his travels to have a first-hand view of these buildings. Little did I know, I ended up taking a liking to the great works of Le Corbusier and one day in class I thought "That's it! I'm going France to see his buildings".

One year later and four required French courses crammed in between January and July, I said my first "Bonjour! Comment-allez vous?" in Paris, France, Spring of 2004. Although I spent a full University year there, I never visited any of Le Corbusier's French works then but I also never stopped traveling after leaving France.

Today, I've been to 42 countries and still counting. I've literally crashed (we're talking ambulance on scene) into the cobblestones of Paris on rollerblades while participating in Pari-Roller Friday Nights. I've hiked to the summit of Wayna Picchu in Peru only to slide down in terror on my butt, one step at a time.  I've jumped out of a plane with accessories (e.g., chute + tandem instructor) and yelled a string of expletives while canyon swinging over the Shotover River in Queenstown. I've scuba dived in a crack between two continents known as the Silfra fissure in Iceland fed by glacial waters. I've run 10 half marathons and one full (Le Marathon du Medoc 2014) in 5 different countries (US, Latvia, Scotland, Singapore and France).

When I'm not being as adventurous, I have a full-time job to attend to that luckily involves some travel here and there.
